Tyler Johnston

 

 

 

 

Tyler currently teaches at Auckland’s Studio 246 where she is head of Ballet and Contemporary for the studio.  She also choreographs musicals for the National Youth Theatre in Auckland and Hamilton.  She is the previous owner of Auckland Ballet Theatre where she taught ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, PBT, latin american, and contemporary.  
Tyler trained at Mount Eden Ballet Academy sitting all RAD & NZAMD exams with High Distinctions, then was accepted into the New Zealand School of Dance as a classical major and was selected to take regular classes with the Royal New Zealand Ballet
Company, she also joined them for their season of Swan Lake.  
She then went on to dance in Australia and Vienna, Austria before coming home to become a qualified teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance in London. 
As a dancer she trained 7 days a week in all genres, travelled to America with her dance troupes and competed in regular competitions.  Tyler loves choreographing for solos and troupes as well as for musical theatre performances and just generally loves working with young people who are passionate about dance.

Duos: $15 per item

 

 

 

 

Trios: $20 per item

 

 

 

 

Jazz and Tap Dance Championships: $20

 

 

 

 

Classical Ballet Variation: $20

 

 

 

 

National Young Performer: $25

 

 

 

 

Groups: $30 per group

 

 

 

 

Late entry fee: $10 for entries submitted during the week after the entry closing date.

 

 

 

 

Administration fees

 

 

 

 

Administration fees will not be charged for the 2023 & future competitions.

Weekend Pass: $35 per person

 

 

 

 

Day Pass: $15 per person

 

 

 

 

Adults:  $5 per session. Groups session: $10 per person.

 

 

 

 

Children 5 to 15 years: gold coin donation per session
